FREDER1K STUDY IN LOWER SAXONY (Hanover)

Does my child have an increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes?

In Lower Saxony, all babies up to seven days old can be tested for an increased risk of type 1 diabetes, free of charge, as part of the Freder1k study. The test can be carried out in a maternity hospital or by your paediatrician.
